I have removed the front animal guard because the mountings for it are not very strong and they bent as soon as they hit an obstacle or three
I have fitted two pistenking rotating beacons to the top of the cab, here is a short video of them in operation

Stew, looking good, the show would have you drooling, and man what a ball you could have there, also noted that a 1/6th tanker was playing with his digger instead of playing with tanks............

it is easy to remember what switch does what :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:
I forgot to demonstrate the fifth channel turning on and off the beacons and the sixth channel to release the tailgate on the skip, which is controlled by the Sixth channel knob

The two switches with white arrows pointing to them are the function switches

Image

The colour code on the others are
Two red dots = trainer switch (not used)
One red dot = channel 7 for the fore and aft movement of the skip
Orange dot = rotary pot on channel 6 used to release the tailgate on the skip when in tipper mode
Green dot = dual rate switch (not used)
Blue dot = channel 5 used to turn the beacons on and off

The left hand white arrowed switch, if flicked to the right, cycles between the horn and tip functions and flicked to the left puts the truck in "rev" mode.
The right hand white arrowed switch, if flicked towards the rear of the TX, turns the Hazards on and off and if flicked towards the front of the TX, it cycles through the headlights as shown in the video.

To turn the truck on and off via the TX the left hand white arrowed is held to the right and the right hand white arrowed switch is flicked to the rear of the TX, but if the headlights are left on you get the headlights warning beep.

the radio is a great unit, but the R7M Receiver lets the side down by defaulting into full throttle mode if you lose the signal or the battery's go below 4.4volts

I was using the truck a month ago and the servos that controls the hydraulics went up in the blue electrical cloud of disappointment so after buying two new ones and finding that the ran on4.8v and not 7.2v I bought two of these, Futaba 1 Amp Voltage Regulator Servo FUTPS01RS they knock the voltage down from 7.2 to 4.8 and are rated at one amp
needles to say I was madder than the hatter about the servos going T@ts up

Paul it probably was the servo failing at the MVT meet when you noticed the smoke coming from the truck

I replaced the big leimbach pump and tank with one from ScaleArt trucks

comparison between the two pumps and tanks

and after fitting the ScaleArt pump and tank

as you can see from this shot the pump and it's motor are hidden in the tank

I bought a set of mud guards of ebay as a crimbo present to one's self, to hope fully arrive before Christmas, well they did not do so, they arrived this afternoon (1330 hrs) and two hours later they are fitted to the truck
